Damn good film about camaraderie, loyalty to one's way of life, comeuppance, and the uselessness of division among assimilating cultures. It's on the Kurdish and Turkish disputes, but still retains relevance for any two distinct cultures. The protagonist and his daily adversity is all too harsh, topped with the supervision of a minor who's been exposed to the same raw climate. Once the eye-for-an-eye theme picks up some momentum, it's a dangerous foregone conclusion.

Fratricide adds unique layers to a familiar country bumpkin-in-the-big city story. Think "Midnight Cowboy" involving two Kurdish youths sticking together to survive an uncaring German city and a long-standing conflict with the Turks. Throw-in some guttural images of piss, spit, blood and guts. "Kite Runner" this ain't.

Raw. Really depressing story. I am starting to wonder is life for Kurdish and Turkish immigrants in Germany this horrible? Is this the reality?!

This movie is about two young brother Azad, and Semo, who always trying to make their life better by doing the wrong thing and being at the wrong place at the wrong time. In this movie you will find a lot of drama and crime, some of which are not to be viewed by minor. This film will touch your heart. You will hate the main charter or feel sad for him for they he goes through. This film takes place in Germany and could also be related to many of the thing immigrant?s face in everyday life. I do recommend? this movie to anyone who has been through a rough life. Also when watching this movie remember that we are all equal in life not just because one has more money or is living in the United State we are better then our own people.

Great screenplay and ambitious movie! Put together a little weak but definitely worth watching.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The story and characters are seared into my brain forever. And it's a universal story, shared by millions of refugees and immigrants, legal or not. No frills, no cold blue filter or polarized effect usually employed for such a subject, nor any of the heavy dreariness indie films usually pander to for such a subject either, no sentimentalism, no end message with figures attached, but spirit and dignity in the tragedy of human kind. ABSOLUTELY MUST SEE (I recommend on a sunday night, or on a Tuesday to set you off right for the week).

I do not think this was a "great" film, but the story of Kurd and Turkish (and other refugees) in Germany was quite powerful and disturbing.
