Movie Info

A naïve small-town girl struggling just to keep up with the fast pace of college life falls prey to a sadistic sexual predator whose popularity exempts him from suspicion in director Bethany Rooney's cautionary tale of campus sex crimes. Though Melissa Connell (Candace Cameron Bure) is at first intimidated at the prospect of striking out on her own at Pierpoint College, her initial worries are somewhat relieved when she receives a special invitation to attend an upcoming campus party. When Melissa is brutally raped by campus ladies' man Scott (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) at the party, her subsequent attempts at making a case to the school authorities are quickly foiled by a notable lack of evidence. Now ridiculed and ostracized by her campus peers, Melissa is forced into a deadly game with fraternity fiend Scott that could prove his guilt if it doesn't kill her first.

Audience Reviews for Freshman Fall

Just shown for a movie in class this movie did have good parts but failed at some. What was good: I thought the actors did really well, I thought the plotline was good, and the resolution while predictable was also good. What I didn't like: I didn't like some of these characters. Jordan was very boring and kinda irritating and the main character's brother was kinda weak too because of his blah personality. The other thing is kind if a big one. When the main character admitted what had happened, the nurse treated her as if this were a lame instructional video. That part was so corny it hurt! The movie was eh but had its good parts. C-

While this was a typical made-for-TV, "men suck" kind of movie, it was at least mostly interesting. Not something I'd go out of my way to buy on DVD, but it's worth seeing once if for no other reason than it's fun to see all these 90s TV teen star types in a movie together.

My wife got me watching this movie and it quickly became evident that it was made to unite actors from our favorite 90's television shows. This standard Lifetime / ABC Family rape drama stars DJ Tanner from Full House, Zach Morris from Saved By The Bell, Six from Blossom, Mrs Walsh from 90210, Nikki Cox, and an actor who spent some time on 21 Jump Street. Entertaining in that way, but a pretty weak film.
