iDream T @RT07548572 02/24/2025 Contrived, stupid, fake and boring. The dialogue is written for children and the jokes insult the intelligence. Everything is phony and unconvincing. The entire movie is shot on a vineyard but there's not a spec of dust on anything except for a small stool, only to make a point of it. Even the farm workers outfits are spotless after a full day of working in the dirt. A successful CEO of a big car company quits his job because of the evil greedy polluters and starts a wine company with zero experience and makes a killing by the end of the first year. His wife decides to go get him back. She heads to the airport when he starts planting the grapes and it's already harvest time before she gets there. Didn't know it takes a year to fly from New York to Italy. His big mouth bratty daughter is pursued by the poor farm boy who looks like he just got off the set from a Abercrombie and Fitch shoot. The main guy passes out from inhaling the "dangerous CO2" while stirring the fermenting grape juice. Nevermind that CO2 is neither a toxin nor a pollutant. Just stick to the narrative. This could have been a half decent 90 minute wine commercial but we barely see the wine itself. Just the talking grape leaves. Yeah. It's that dumb. See more Anna C @RT36379085 01/02/2025 Loved this movie. Loved the story. In fact when I was 19, I went back to Italy for the first time since I was 7 years old. Many of the adventures I had were very relatable. The people, could have been my relatives. Watch it you will love it too. And one of my favourite actors, Franco LoPresti, a very “rough, strong, sexy, and talented, young man, was part of the cast. From Canada of course. It is a film that carries a basic plot about a man rediscovering himself and desiring to make a significant change in lifestyle by revisiting elements from his past.  This is a light-hearted story with small touches of feel-good humour and romance along the way. It was welcoming to see actor Joe Pantoliano take the lead in this film and story, even if elements from his character will not always be agreeable to the audience. Seeking a light-hearted film? This is undoubtedly a film that will deliver a touching smile onto many movie lovers' faces, and I suggest you drink a glass of red while watching. But it has that all important ‘feel good' about it, so a thumbs up. See more 08/10/2021 A cute and quirky movie - particularly lovely if you've visited rural Italy and those typical rambling vineyards! A few odd glitches in the generally smooth flow of storytelling, but most of the time kept my interest and I enjoyed it. Some characters were not well-rounded or fully believable at times, while others were just rather unlikeable (when I am pretty sure we were supposed to like them!) but really that is just picking out the holes. It IS far-fetched, but it is also a fun and heart-warming romantic comedy. I saw it at the cinema and will watch it again when it comes to a streaming platform. See more Read all reviews
