Movie Info

In the year 2516 the human residents of Earth are under attack from a super computer called Dorothy. Hellbent on eliminating the human race, Dorothy faces some stiff competition from Rion, a teenager with amazing supernatural powers. Perfectly rendered by some of Japan's best anime creators, this is a visual treat full of action, violence, and a salient warning on the power of computers.

Audience Reviews for Galerians: Rion

All this is, is a compilation of CGI cutscenes from a video game (Galerian: Ash) with one or two added sequences to smooth out certain things. The CGI looks like it's from a video game, the voice acting sounds like it's from a video game, and the plot makes little sense, because you are missing that crucial element of play, which allows things in the video game world to flow nicely into each other. So what's the point of having this "movie" made? None. But the story is a little interesting.

This is an anime movie made from a video game. I didn't play the video game, but I loved the movie. It's a lot like a crazy music video at times, but really bad ass. The guy doesn't remember who he is or how he got there all he knows is that he's a bad ass. It's almost like if Goku wasn't a pussy and liked to kill people. -Cyber-Punk? I'd say so.

Love it! The only thing that would make it better would be better emotional expression on the faces of the characters.
