Movie Info

A lunatic is terrorizing a group of friends who met in college in this horror thriller from South Korea. After visiting a college friend now living in the United States, Seon-ae (Choe Jeong-yun) becomes convinced upon returning to Korea that someone is following her; what's more, the stalker in question looks just like someone she once knew who died not long ago. While Seon-ae is trying to shake the mysterious figure following her, several other members of her circle of friends from her school days are falling prey to a psychotic murderer, and she wonders if her stalker may have murder on his mind. Gawi's supporting cast includes Jeong Jun, Kim Kyu-ri, and Jo Hye-yeong; it was the first feature directed by former cinematographer Ahn Byeong-ki. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Audience Reviews for Gawi (Nightmare) (Horror Game Movie)

Can't believe I watched this in the middle of the night!!..It was creepy, scary ,confusing but much better than most scary movies from here..

I watched this maybe...two years ago? There are a few traces of creativity to be found here, but it seems like Ahn Byeong-Ki has been trafficking in Asian horror cliches for the majority of his film career. Totally skippable.

A pretty sub-par film, the most interesting image was the one on the DVD cover of the sewn up eyes. Everything else about this ghost story/mystery is pretty boring to slog through to get to the reveal at the end. Pass.
