Audience Reviews for George Carlin: Life Is Worth Losing
Always a creative title, Carlin performs on stage giving wit and wisdom. Humorist par excellence. While not a MOVIE at all, but a recorded concert, the script is worth hearing. A lost art, hearing a performance is a superior art form to seeing. Learn the art of HEARING for a change and you might as well start with this album to blow your socks off. HEAR the entire album here as the audio is the only thing available for free on youtube.com as far as I know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGHxvqaKW0o "Life Is Worth Losing is the 18th album by American comedian George Carlin. It was recorded simultaneously with the live broadcast of the HBO special of the same title, his 13th HBO stand-up comedy special, and was his final special recorded from the Beacon Theater. It is the first project Carlin had undertaken since completing drug rehabilitation in 2005." ---Widkipedia Reviews by RT community: 60% Incredibly mean-spirited, but damn truthful. This wasn't one of his best shows. He has some funny out-there ideas as he usually does, like a reality channel based on killing people. But most of the show is bitter toward the man and big business with not enough humor in it.
Released three years before his death, this is George Carlin at quite possibly his most bitter, datk, and misanthropic. The good news though, is that the material is still funny as Hell, no, scratch that, it is brilliant in its hilariousness.
