Movie Info

Following his first HBO comedy special, 2007's "George Lopez: America's Mexican," Lopez delivers an all-new stand-up show, "George Lopez: Tall, Dark & Chicano" before a live audience at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Some of the hot button topics he's expected to cover are Latino perspectives on such subjects as: change in America, kids today, parenting, Barack Obama, aging, sagging body parts, sexual frustration, trendy names for children and rednecks who date Latino women.

Critic Reviews for George Lopez: Tall, Dark & Chicano

All Critics (2) | Fresh (1) | Rotten (1)

  • The obviousness of George Lopez's concepts and construction, and the easy stereotyping of his laugh lines, wouldn't matter if the material was funny... Tall, Dark, and Chicano just isn't funny.

  • For those who don't speak Spanish, a few quips and asides may be lost in translation. But Lopez usually makes his intent clear as he effectively mines America's culture wars for plenty of chuckles.
