Movie Info

Award-winning filmmaker Robert Child revisits one of his favorite historical topics in this film that offers an intimate look at the Battle of Gettysburg as presented by the Gettysburg Anniversary Committee and featuring the grand-scale 140th Gettysburg Battle Reenactment. The use of Union and Confederate commander diaries, dispatches, and after-battle reports, as well as shooting locations that include the Lutheran Theological Seminary and White House of the Confederacy, ensure that every detail is historically accurate, a stirring soundtrack by composer Nicholas Palmer accompanies some of the most authentic Civil War battle footage ever filmed.

The movie was good for what it was. Based on the Reneactment of Gettysburg, they kind of turned it into a real film - if you want too see this as a real movie, just watch GETTYSBURG. But, if you do reenactments or might be interested in the turnout and stuff like this. Check this movie out. It's extremly interesting if your into that and they did a job well done. Beyond that, I beleive the money from it goes too Gettysburg battlefield, so all the more reason. However, beyond the good cause, as a movie itself, it doesnt really show and I wouldnt even recommend it as a movie, more so as a, guide too what this reneactment can be like.
