Hiroshi Fujioka inspires sympathy as the befuddled hero, but Janet Julian's emoting as his L.A. friend is torturous to behold.

77% "Hey Johnny! They got Fizz!"-Gang Member Unfrozen samuri gets lost in the Big Apple and cleans up the streets. Hiroshi Fujioka shines.

(* 1/2): [img][/img] A total cheesefest. Laughably bad in almost every respect. But, I'm not going to give it my lowest rating (a 3/10) because even with all of the unintentional silliness, Fujioka gives a really good performance in the titular role. If you're going to see it, look out for the cliched 80s bad guys; I couldn't stop laughing at how ridiculous they were! Connoisseurs of bad cinema should love this one.

The idea behind this film is interesting, but the way the film is executed is really bad. Some extremely corny moments in this film made me want to tune out, but I kept waiting for the film to redeem never did. Really bad acting by the main characters and bad special effects don't help the already corny costumes and props. And what is more frustrating is that there are no subtitles to help us understand what the Samurai is saying.
