Movie Info

Actor-director Alphonse Martell adapted Gigolettes of Paris from his own short story. Perfume-shop clerk Madge Bellamy is led astray by handsome bounder Theodore Von Eltz, who unceremoniously dumps her at the first opportunity. Vowing to avenge herself on all men, Suzanne gets a job at a cabaret, where she has a high old time chiseling the male customers. She ends up falling in love with gigolo Gilbert Roland, who turns out to be the only nice guy in the picture. Though the film is supposed to be set in Gay Paree, those shabby back-lot sets look more like the Lower East Side.
