Movie Info

Gene Autry (Gene Autry) is the circuit judge for a small town when recently released convict Ed Wheeler (Kirk Riley) tries to kill a man named Jim Granby (Carleton Young). When Gene takes Ed into custody and prepares to put him on trial for the attempted murder of Granby, Ed tells a story about his past that may save him. Describing his early gold scavenging days, Ed claims that he has already completed a sentence for the very same crime: killing Jim Granby.
