A woman recovering from the car accident that claimed the life of her husband becomes the victim of blackmail when someone in her inner-circle threatens to reveal her deepest, darkest secrets. In the wake of the accident, Misty Reynolds (Sharon Graves) turned to the bottle. Meanwhile, Misty's suspicious stepson Billy (Johnny Alonso) hires housekeeper Sylvia (Tiffany Ariany) to spy on his ailing stepmother. When the blackmail letters begin to arrive, it becomes obvious to Misty that someone close is attempting to bring her down. But is it Billy, or perhaps one of his two sisters, Betsy (Rosie Sowa) or Marge Kelly Cardall)? The mystery growing, Misty seeks comfort in the company of her dear friend Father Gary (Michael Russell), who offers sage advice on overcoming depression while attempting to form a love connection between the grieving widow and Deven (Josh Davidson), his kind-hearted assistant. Before long yet another devastating tragedy befalls Misty's family, signaling that the blackmailer may have graduated to more serious crimes, and that the window of time needed to catch the culprit is fast closing.
