Small-town American life becomes a little more interesting when demolition derby owner Michelle Cody (Jamie Lee Curtis) falls for high-school graduate Tim Pearson (C. Thomas Howell), much to the dismay of race car driver Ernie Webster (Patrick Swayze). When the future of Michelle's business is threatened by land developers, she must struggle to find a way to save it.
