Movie Info

A young boy searches desperately for his mother while battling the legions of the undead during the zombie uprising. Alex has every reason in the world to hate his abusive, racist stepfather - not the least of which being that his substitute dad has just unleashed a plague of the undead. Now, Alex and a small group of survivors attempt to reach the National Guard Armory so they'll have a fighting chance against the gut-munching masses. If they can just locate Alex's mother before running out of ammo, this desperate group might actually be able to escape the nightmare that's transformed their beloved hometown into a blood-soaked abattoir. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Audience Reviews for Grave Mistake

This low-budget straight to DVD zombie movie is putrid, and not just in subject matter. The story plays like it was written by a 10 year old; not only the silly medieval characters but the "love story," both are like a kid would script them, the first because it's cool and the second because it sells (and plays out like someone who doesn't know a thing about love wrote it). There are two characters that I'd swear are making fun of mentally-challenged people. The effects are bad - lots and lots of zombies, but horribly made up. I gave it an extra 1/2 star 'cuz I thought the kid playing Alex wrote it, but I see it was probably his dad instead.

The acting is awful and the characters are rather corny. The CG is pretty bad yet the make-up is decent. You can tell how low budget it is when Shawn Darling's name is in most of the credits. If you're looking for a good time with B-level zombie corniness though, then this film would work pretty well.
