From Kultur comes Great Writers. Combining archival footage with commentary, the seven-volume series highlights the lives and careers of some of the world's most accomplished wordsmiths. Great Writers: Jean Cocteau explores the work and experience of multifaceted French artist Jean Cocteau. Remembered by many for his films, including Beauty and the Beast, Cocteau is also considered one of the top literary luminaries of the 20th century, most notably for his novel, Les Enfants Terribles. Released in 2001, the program runs 45 minutes. The other Great Writers videos are Great Writers: Jack London, Great Writers: Tennessee Williams, Great Writers: Isaac Bashevis Singer, Great Writers: Alberto Moravia, Great Writers: Truman Capote, and Great Writers: Jorge Luis Borges.
