Movie Info

Co-star Vincent Price called this mega-budget jungle-adventure one of the funniest (though not intentionally) films ever made. Despite the spectacular photography, full-size recreation of an Inca Temple, and lush jungle setting, the story and dialog was terrible and the film became a bona-fide critical and box-office bomb. The adventure begins as archaeologists fight their way through the jungle in search of Inca treasure. Along the way they encounter hostile poison dart-blowing natives who wreak all kinds of havoc. Things really get steamy when the beautiful widow of a slain scientist shows up to join the expedition and finds herself the object of a romantic rivalry between two of the surviving archaeologists

Backlot shenanigans with a good cast and standard jungle doings.
