Movie Info

Aging Arius Green (Ben Keith) lives a quiet life on his Northern California ranch with his family, including his wife (Elizabeth Keith) ; son Earl (James Mazzeo), a struggling artist; and teenage granddaughter, Sun (Sarah White), a budding environmental activist. When a local police officer (Paul Supplee) is murdered, hordes of reporters descend on the town, destroying the Green family's peace. In lieu of dialogue, the actors lip-synch the lyrics of writer-director Neil Young's songs.

Perhaps to a true musician, this is brilliant but I didn't enjoy Neil Young's effort here.

The king of retro, Neil Young -god of music!!! My reasons for rating this movie so high should be pretty clear by now lol. It's not really a movie I guess, but more scenery for his (magnificent) 'greendale' album. Filmed on super-8 and the obvious lip sync, makes it look like an episode of FBI files on discovery. How cool is that lol!
