Grow is a tale of pumpkins, sabotage, and unlikely family bonds. A no-nonsense farmer living in the self-proclaimed 'Pumpkin Capital of the World', takes in her estranged niece Charlie. Charlie decides to enter the local pumpkin growing competition where she and the other pumpkin growers face fierce competition, sabotage and a genetically engineered rival. As she nurtures her pumpkin 'Peter' and watches him grow, so does her bond with the townsfolk, farm and her new way of life.

For an American trying to catch up with the dialogue made enjoyment of film challenging. The plot was not originally just an old tried and true manipulation of a standard plot...the story and the humor and saved it. The acting for the most part also saved the movie, some of the actors were really strong some weaker.....it should be appealing kids movie in Europe. IT was brought some chuckles and it was heart warming in a comfortable sort of way.

A heartwarming movie set in as a parody of Oktoberfest town where all side plots and characters are introduced but never expanded upon. the most safest movie about gardening set in near Halloween. Count how many times where the dog shows up.

This is a very wholesome family movie with many important topics concerning family explored and discussed, I would highly recommend it to all families with children that enjoy going to movies for entertainment. A very good value for the buck!

Honestly much better than I expected. It’s definitely schmaltzy, but in a “we’re all having fun here” way. Also there are some truly great sketch comedy bits buried in here. I’m tired of dystopia if I want bad news I have the news. This was a return to movies that are just kind of fun.

Synopsis
