Movie Info

Inspired by the works of Anatole France, GULF STREAM UNDER THE ICEBERG follows three love stories that take place during the Renaissance (circa 1664); the 19th Century (circa 1883); and during modern times (circa 1990). Influenced by legendary fairy tales, Oriental myths, the Talmud and the medieval books of Cabala, Award-winning director Yevgeny Pashkevich's second feature is a kaleidoscopic and hypnotic affair. "Gulf Stream Under the Iceberg", is a visually moving story that leads you into a magical and self-absorbing story about Adams first wife, Lilith - a femme fatale metaphor of how humankind tries to run away from Eden and strive to become sinless, yet ultimately ends up trapped in its own unconsciousness.
