Nai-Hoi Yau takes a back seat and watches in Eye in the Sky.Coming in at just under 90 minutes, this is actually an appropriate run time for a film lacking dialogue as this one does. The story takes a unique point of view at what could be a typical cops and robbers showdown. Instead, deciding to focus on the surveillance and the tracking of criminals, Eye in the Sky keeps things interesting from start to finish. The action is minimal, limited to a shootout in the middle, but where this picture lacks in action, it makes up for in the plot details. The restaurant scene near the end is worthy of note.Simon Yam and Tony Leung are fantastic with Kate Tsui and Maggie Siu putting together some solid characters of their own.Eye in the Sky gets it done in all facets, resulting in a Hong Kong crime thriller worth checking out.

Typical dying-to-be-cool-&-exciting crime flick that is boring & annoying actually, No subtlety, no insight, no characterization, No nothing

Suspenseful thriller throughout the whole show.

One of the few New Wave Hong Kong directors I've been impressed with. Has a refreshing style and a sophisticated approach to his movies. Some plot holes in this movie - like as if people wouldn't notice anything suspicious about a surveillance RUV parked on the side of the street for hours on end, but hey, I'll forgive for the tight editing and pace. One major bugbear about Hong Kong cop movies - why do they always have to be seen eating?!

Not bad for a film all in Chinese. Person who wrote the subtitles needs English lessons though.

Kuvaus Hong Kongin mielenkiintoisesta poliisi-yksiköstä. Perinteistä opettaja-oppilas meininkiä, mutta toimivaa. ?lykästä toimintaa poliisilta ja rikollisilta.

it was just on SBS. not as slick as Infernal Affairs but still good to watch

Yau directs the hell out of it, but the subject of stake-outs is inherently a boring one. Not even a potato in a tailpipe? Pretty uneventful, even when the action takes place it's far away or off-screen. Disappointing.

Surprisingly solid, cool, tight & awesome. Kate Tsui is astonishingly good for her debut.

The movie was okay but not memorable. I only remember that Kate Tsui played a rookie and her acting was decent.

Good actings all around. Wish to see more mind-fights between the characters of Simon Yam and Tony Leung. Expected the belly of Yam is fake and some kind of setup.

The plot is interesting but something is missing... I think that the end is not as developed as it should be.
