In this Disney film, Hank Cooper (Ed Asner) the owner of a losing professional football team, recruits Gus, a Yugoslavian soccer player, to his team. Audience Reviews for Gus

½

★★1/2 (out of four)

A fair Disney comedy with their typical flare for the unbelievable. The situations are silly and chaotic like you would expect. The film does have its moments of laughter, but not enough to give a recommendation.

The Atom's, a football team, has been on a losing streak for quite some time. With little reason to believe that things could turn around anytime soon, the coach hires a new kicker in the form of a mule.

Things start to turn around so poor Gus becomes targeted in a kidnapping plot to keep him from playing.

Many Disney regulars are on board like Don Knotts, Tim Conway, Ed Asner and some new one like Gary Grimes (he disappeared from movies right after that and has never been heard from again).

Is it a great film? Nope. Is it goofy? Yup. Just something about a 70's Disney screwball comedy with good comedic actors, a mule and NFL football. eeee awwww!
