Departing from their rural Canadian hometown to the big city of Toronto, two twenty-something best friends find their lifelong bond put to the ultimate test by bringing their unspoken feelings about one another slowly bubbling to the surface. Alex (Nigel Smith) is a straight introvert who longs for nothing more than to meet a suitable mate, and his best friend Mark (Michael Majeski) is a gay man in a committed relationship. But while Mark may appear stable from a distance, a closer look reveals that he harbors a dangerous self-destructive streak. Later, following some minor mishaps in the Northern Ontario countryside, Alex and Mark arrive in Toronto and set out to have a good time with a pair of younger girls. The party comes to an end, however, when a secret from Alex's past threatens to unravel his friendship with Mark and send the longtime friends down separate paths in life.
