Haru (Nao Nagasawa) is a violent young beauty with vengeance on the brain. Under Milly, she trains to become a cold-blooded killer. Before Haru can complete her mission, however, she must help Milli do battle with Ikki (Kazuki Tsujimoto) and his brother Hyuma (Rei Fujita), two psychos who were dedicated followers of the Jack Brothers. ½

a longer version with more characters then the first, same tone, slightly more unneeded story though/but when the fights start its more of the same great fight scene work/great angles/practical effects.

Not as good or bloody as the original, but this sequel is worth watching. Milly's revenge from the first movie gets turned back on her as the gay lover of her main victim seeks revenge of his own. The fights are still well choreographed, but much of the freshness and innovention of the first movie didn't carry over. The added length of this one (first one was 43 min., this is 74 min.) was not wasted. Enjoyable for what it is.

Hard Revenge, Milly: Bloody Battle is a simple bloody action flick from Takanori Tsujimoto.

This film is a follow up to the short Hard Revenge, Milly. The story for this one, however, is more or less standalone and the opening minutes do a decent job of summarizing the first film. Some of the dialogue during the picture elaborates even more on the story from the previous installment.

The plot is really straightforward. Simple dialogue pushes the film forward and there are very few effects to indicate the futuristic apocalyptic setting. The rest of the picture indicates low budget.

There is a considerable amount of hyper-active violent action, and it feels like there is even more thanks to the brief 70+ minute run time. The choreography is satisfying as there are a lot of close combat confrontations with unique weapons.

There isn't much to say about the overacting of the wacky characters. When comparing to everyone else, Miki Mizuno and Nao Nakazawa provide the only down to earth performances.

When it comes down to it, Hard Revenge, Milly: Bloody Battle is a movie to pass the time.
