A simple drumming competition threatens serious supernatural consequences for the ambitious student of a master drummer. Ping is a student of Master Duang, the famed master musician whose experience on the drums is unparalleled in the natural world. Master Duang is the owner of a mysterious ancient drum called the Peung Mang. Many legends surround the Peung Mang, the most frightening of which states that the drum itself was made from the skin of a ravishing beauty named Thip. Later, when a mysterious woman reveals to Ping the secret of becoming a master drummer, the awe-stricken student remains completely unaware that his new teacher is in fact the very female spirit that dwells inside of the instrument. Later, when an arrogant musician named Muan calls on Master Duang's students to reject their teacher, the body count begins to rise. When Muan challenges Ping to a drumming competition, the contest to discover the next true master suddenly becomes a matter of life and death.
