No laughs there, and no screams either.

The trouble with Haunted Honeymoon is in the writing, which just isn't sharp or funny enough to keep one's attention from wandering about the haunted corridors of Wolfington Castle well ahead of the camera in search of some real entertainment.

Tame scares, not many laughs in '80s horror-comedy.

May 27, 2015Again Wilder hopes to resurrect the oomph of Young Frankenstein with the intention of schlepping the creepy horror genres of the late 1930's, early 40's, and again he fails. Is there even a smile in this one? Well yes there is, but its unintentional, and its that Wilder's love for Gilda Radner is evident. Otherwise it hurts to watch. A film to work on your patience while watching.Kevin M. W Super Reviewer

Oct 18, 2010Haunted Honeymoon is a really funny take on classic Vincent Price era Haunted House type-movies. The humor in the film is very cheesy and comparative to something Mel Brooks might put out. The flick stars Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, and Dom Deluise, and they all put in some pretty hilarious performances. The movie is not scary by any means, it does however serve as a decent movie to watch during Halloween. The movie is about Larry Abbot (Wilder) and Vicky Pearle (Radner) who are comedy radio stars in New York, and are engaged to be married. Abbot begins having panic attacks after the engagement and his uncle decides that shock therapy would be the best medicine. They decide to preform Abbot's therapy at the castle where he grew up and after the treatment is complete they also plan to have their wedding there. The fun really begins when Pearle gets to meet Abbot's really strange and bizarre family. This movie has everything from Musical Numbers to Werewolves, if you are looking for something to put on for the kids or for some guests that don't like scary movies than this movie is just what you are looking for. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of movies like Blazing Saddles or The House on Haunted Hill (the original). I am going to give Haunted Honeymoon a 4 of 10. The movie isn't amazing but it isn't complete crap either. It has its comedy moments, but it doesn't bring any real scares. I know that one of you is a werewolf. S!DBrandon S Super Reviewer

Oct 09, 2010Obviously this isn't a great movie, but it is campy and even funny in some parts. I love the musical number with Gilda Radner and Dom Deluise and Gene Wilder was really funny even with what he was given.Sarah P Super Reviewer
