Residential building project encounters complex complications and no easy solution for any of the principals. Battle of haves versus have-nots with no easy solution, in the name of progress. One of the better Aussie ventures I've seen, based on true events.

The heat gets really turned up on an architect caught in his company's fight to get a vast new development started against stiff opposition from area residents and squatters. Raises some interesting moral questions between haves and have-nots.

A shining work of Australian cinema, this superb screenplay explores greed, ambition, fragility and society. It draws inspiration from real life events in Sydney in the 70's enhanced with the artful direction of Phillip Noyce and strong performances from a perfectly cast talent roster.
