Found this interesting and informative.
Fascinating. Not always "hell" to get through, this documentary is paced pretty well and gives just about every explaination about hell, which is said to represent primarially a separation from God.

Narrator: For centuries great religions have preached of sin and punishment. Of Satan and Hell. Stories of an evil Satan and Hell's torment are handed down in scripture. The concepts of a fiery underworld watched over by a great beast evolved. Just what is Hell and who is Satan?
Explores historically and psychologically the topic of hell.
While repeating itself in many ways, the entire film is very well done and instructive about a topic seldom explained.
More interesting installments in the second half include:
The 8th installment explains other religions view of hell.
The 9th installment examines the Church of Satan.
SEE each of the below (in order) for the entire film:
NOTES about the film:
1 Reviews literary landmarks that expanded our ideas of the underworld, from Dante's Inferno and Milton's Paradise Lost to Mark Twain's anti-hero, and trace development of Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Buddhist conceptions of the afterlife.
2 The history of Hell begins with the story of a negative near-death experience, in which a man thinks he went to Hell after being declared clinically dead and before resuscitation. Following Lucifer's trail from cave paintings in France circa 6,000 BC to current portrayals in popular culture, this 2-hour exploration shows how Hell and the Devil remain powerful forces.
3 From the dark Hades of Greek Mythology to the fire-and-brimstone visions of fundamentalist thunderers, Hell has long held a particular grip over the human imagination. Hell: The Devil's Domain travels the world to peer into the darkest depths of this eternal fascination.
1 History Channel does a hell of a job.
2 Truely a hellish experience.
3 Where in the hell did this doc come from?
4 Hell's bells, I need a drink after watching this one'
5 Oh hell, go ahead and watch just once.
