Host Alan Freed narrates this video collection of performance clips that demonstrate how Hollywood helped rock & roll become one of America's favorite forms of entertainment in the 1950s. Top talents such as Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Pat Boone, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard are featured singing some of their most popular tunes. A highlight of the video is Elvis performing his hit "Jailhouse Rock."
