A pleasant date night movie, with solid cinematography, lighting, decor, and supporting actors. Perhaps the best little musical number is the one where Powell taps on glass while seated next to ukulele-playing Allen. Simple, effective, informative, yet still fun to watch.

Lower-level MGM musical; Powell dances the hula and has a routine with a jump-rope, and Gracie lends fun support and sings "The Leader Doesn't Like Music."

Lightweight but enjoyable musical comedy starting Eleanor Powell and Robert Young, who plays two parts (one a movie star wanting peace and another a Hawaiian plantation owner. However, it's George Burns and Gracie Allen who in my mind really steal the show. I used to love listening to old Burns and Allen radio shows and it was fun to hear them doing their funny schtick.
