It has a nice grindhouse feel to it yet it doesn't exceed its appearance and eventually becomes lost with little plot or character development. There's nothing really memorable or interesting enough going on and the film ends blandly.

The decapitated head of a medieval warlock possesses members of a group of young people staying at an isolated country estate before killing them off one by one. Goofy Gothic atmosphere overcomes the jumpy storytelling and clumsy editing--or perhaps its the incoherent filmmaking that creates the scary/funny atmosphere?

I found this movie hard to judge, mostly because it was so badly edited to remove any and all gore and violence. Just part of the compilation of movies this came on.

Aside from that, the acting was pathetic and the scenes didn't make much sense, but the story was intriguing. Lots going on, and the villain was kind of enigmatic, even if a bit silly.

So there was potential, but based on the badly edited copy I have, it wasn't very good.

A sleazy little Spanish horror movie. It has is all: hot actors, nudity, vampiric devil worshippers, decapitation, bright red fake blood, and zombie slaves. Good for anyone who appreciates 70s Euro-horror.

Spanish horror has the unfortunate consistency of absolutely getting boring mid-film. At least this somewhat makes up for it by having zombies

This had good points (certain special effects, certain actor) and a lot of bad points (writing, cinematography, general acting). Interesting, and worth 1 viewing.

Pretty decent, but a little slow.

Naschy played three characters in this one! A film very indicative of 70s horror

The spirit of a 15th century decapitated devil worshipper is summoned up by a seance. Things degenerate when the severed head is reunited with the body. Another memorable Spanish film.

Går aningen på rutin, den oklippta versionen bjuder ändå på en hel del fina grejer

Yet another tedious Paul Naschy film. Even the much hyped zombie scene was disapointing...

So far the only Naschy film I've really liked was ROJO SANGRE. Of his "classic" (ie: old) films that I have seen (admitedly only about half a dozen), this was the least disapointing. I still want to see Hunchback of the Rue Morgue and Vengeance of the Mummy, although I seriously doubt I'll like them.

Pretty good at times, amusing at other times, but mostly a bore. And the characters weren't particularly likeable.

Atmospheric but boring Spanish gothic from Paul Naschy. The zombie attack is the highlight, and sadly it only lasts about a minute.
