The real stars of this movie are not the notice-me dogs or the notice-me-more kids. The stellar pair are failed rock singer Carl Scudder (Kevin Dillon) and his sidekick chick Lois (Lisa Kudrow).

The images are cluttered and murky, the comic rhythms falter, and the adult humans in the cast, including Lisa Kudrow and Don Cheadle, seem resigned to being upstaged by the kids and dogs.
