Movie Info

Filipino filmmaker Joel C. Lamangan directs the downbeat drama Hubog (Wretched Lives). Assunta de Rossi plays Vanessa, a poor girl trying to survive in a shanty town in the Philippines. She is interested in the cab driver Oliver (Wendell Ramos), but she starts up a relationship with the abusive bodyguard Uno (Jay Manalo). After her mother dies, she's expected to take on guardianship of her vulnerable and mentally disabled little sister Nikka (Alessandra de Rossi).
