all elements of a good movie were combined in this masterpiece the songs, the trans between Serbia & Marseilles, actors choice, the potion of Action, Sex, Blood everything in this movie express about a good director who run that with a good well-controlled eye I hope to repeat that again

Disappointing. Could have been a great illustration of the savagery of the Balkans civil war, and war in general, and its effects on the people stuck in the middle. Does cover that, and quite graphically at times, but this gets mixed up with other, more minor, plots.

The jumping back-and-forth between three or four time periods doesn't help the coherence of the story at all. Makes the movie quite confusing, and dulls the punches of the war scenes.

Decent performances though. Rie Rasmussen is great, and gorgeous, in the lead role. Nikola Djuricko is suitably menacing as Srdjan.

Big disappointment. Not what I expected at all. The movie doesn't have one particular topic. It's about the conflict in the old Yugoslavia, about the life of an immigrant in France, about organized crime, about relationship issues, etc. It gets lost in many topics and doesn't exploit none well.

Impressed that the lead actress (Rie) directed, edited and acted in the movie... Keeps you engrossed the whole 2 hrs, Beautifully portraying the flash backs in kosovo with the present Marseille.

This nearly two hour French film has everything, it's funky, it's action-packed, it feels like a fresh take on The Godfather from a feminine perspective. If it had more traveling shots, smoother and sharper cinematography, more fiction and less time spent on realism and facts.
Not for the faint at heart, Human Zoo takes up the sociopathy of betrayal, in the context of love and war. Writer/director Rie Rasmussen also plays the main character does an excellent job in this feature film and what I thought of Rasmussen is so beautiful and brings a wonderful performance.

A rather disjointed tale of violence and revenge (made even blurrier with repeated flash-backs), director and star Rasmussen spoils the more interesting aspects of her story with the introduction of the preternaturally annoying Nick Corey, a man so excruciatingly twattish that my sympathies for Adria turned to disbelief as soon as he first appears climbing the walls like an idiot. That said, there are several visceral sequences, Rasmussen is improbably gorgeous throughout while a charismatic Djuricko deserves his own spin-off movie for his turn as her murderous mentor. With some judicious editing this might have been more compelling but it's worth a watch (if only for the delicious Ms. R).

Personally, I thought the film was great and interesting. The American in the film was annoying and the ending was like 'wtf, c'mon', but the film is different and I liked Rie's direction, especially when it came to sex and violence. This film has teeth that bite.

What? She should not have left her day job as a model and start making films..... WHAT? Some moments were funny but for the most pointless Balkan-style violence. WHAT? And many pron films have less action than this one......

Beautiful Rie Rasmussen carries the film from head to toes (as an actress, a writer, a director and a producer).

Some beautiful shots cannot survive the flaws that plummet the storyline.
