Humint is a slick Korean film that is all bangs no brain, caught between ambition and execution. Go to Full Review

Uneven but ultimately rewarding, this South Korean spy thriller takes a long time to become the movie it promises to be. Go to Full Review

Humint isn’t selling itself on its espionage, but it is ready to smash through the door and demand to be seen. Go to Full Review

For a film that’s purportedly about the main character taking down a drug ring (going by the Netflix blurb), you could spend an awful lot of time not really thinking about the drug ring. Go to Full Review

The simplest way of putting it is that Humint is a very good action movie and a ropey, superficial spy thriller, and the resultant cinematic chimera thus feels wedged a bit awkwardly between its two masters. Go to Full Review

Viewers with the patience to sit through a deliberately paced hour of shady encounters in dingy nightclubs and snow-driven back alleys will be richly rewarded by a second half showcasing some of the best heroic bloodshed in recent memory. Go to Full Review

sar D @Safari178 Apr 11 Great action movie, another Ryoo Seung Wan masterpiece. Great acting . The action is outstanding , car races, gun fights, combats, ...A must see. 🎬 Nota final: 5,5 / 10 See more Chelsea N @Chelsea9 Apr 9 An interesting movie. I always look out for the action scenes and this movie delivered. It has a slow build up but makes up for it by the amazing action scenes and spectacular actors , particularly the 2 male leads and the female lead. Have to applaud the gun fights as well. I enjoyed it. See more Torben E @Torben Apr 8 Since the brilliant "Bittersweet Life" (2005) I'm an avid admirer of South Korean cinema. I'm also a huge Bond and Bourne fan and love espionage-thrillers in general. Therefore I had to watch "Humint" and when the end credits rolled, I felt absolutely satisfied. Humint is a decent spy movie with very good actors and some truly amazing action scenes, especially in the final part. In the last third, the movie goes (almost) full John Wick and it looks fantastic. On the downside, the movie is filled with the usual clichés (hardboiled spies, love gets in the way, etc.) but if you're willing to overlook these and if you like Asian cinema and spy-stories in general then you won't be disappointed. See more Janko B @JankoB Apr 7 This Korean spy thriller takes us to icy Vladivostok – already a refreshingly unusual setting. And it kicks off strong: a slick extraction mission in Mahador and a wild dart setup in a smuggler’s apartment pull you in right away. The first half takes its time to build up the characters, their motivations, and relationships – only to have them collide with full force in the second half. Long story short: smart, intense, and refreshingly different. No unnecessary filler, just smooth, engaging storytelling. The cast delivers across the board, and the locations are used to great effect. Plus, there are some fun, creative touches like bulletproof glass transport boxes for people and a cold, blond Russian antagonist.
