... I Am Legend stands as a nice-looking but empty film that is high on jolts but short on emotion, horror, and interest.

This double-disc edition of the recent Will Smith blockbuster I Am Legend contains two versions of the movie, each with a different ending. . .

It's a solid transfer, relatively enjoyable movie (with the alternate ending being the preferred version), and enough extras to give you a taste of what it took to make it.

Will Smith is the sole uninfected human left in New York and he is magnificent in the film, teetering on the edge of sanity as he scavenges the city for food...

I Am Legend Special Edition DVD Review: Will Smith's astounding one man show is never less than physically and emotionally shattering, from moment to gripping moment. Think An Inconvenient Truth: The Last Sequel. Ever. And give the man a stiff drink.

Actually at its best early on, while Will Smith is solo and captured starkly against the breathtaking backdrop of a vast, urban wasteland.

The movie has impressive action sequences and some truly suspenseful scenes, but it also take the time to let us get to know the main character.

...it's good to see a Hollywood sci-fi film at least attempt to do something more than provide a gore fest of exploding heads.
