An offbeat television pilot film, this entertaining tale with a charming family that takes to the road together to experience the land and its variety of people.

Jeff Bridges (of 1974's Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, a Clint Eastwood co-star), is very good in the lead role of the catalyst of the venture. He convinces his father and mother and even grandmother to accompany him on a trek around the country in a converted vintage bus.

While the production is good, it gets a bit too involved with fringe characters in a rock festival setting.

Still, marginally worth watching.

Brings back some memories I'd like to forget - thank goodness this pilot never sold. BTW: Father is played by Carl Betz from the Donna Reed show, the quintessenal television actor with a range from A->B

Very laid back with no real disequillibriums to reflect the hippie nature of the charachters, some good acting and a great soundtrack this is a film for hippies.
