Mercifully, Inception is short on "is-this-a-dream-or-is-this-reality" pseudo-philosophizing, allowing the near-Kubrickian visual stimuli to drive the exposition and action. And it works.

In its final hour, Inception becomes more conventional and less imaginative. The rules of the dreamworld still frame the action, but they provide fewer surprises, for the team or the audience.
