Audience Reviews for Invisible Child

Directed by John Micklin Silver(1999) Rated TV-PG Some people call Invisible Child one of the worst movies ever made. I couldn't disagree more. I actually think its one of the best movies made for Lifetime television. But I hardly watch that channel so I may be wrong. This film caught my interest because of the title, from then on, I found this to be a very enthralling and oddly moving drama. Rita Wilson plays a mother with two children who has created an invisible child in her mind named Maggie, we don't know why yet but soon find out. She hires a nanny to help out with her three children including Maggie, but the nanny is confused as what the hell is going on and tries to play along with Maggie, in order to find out why the mother created that invisible child and seek help. I know, it sounds stupid, but once you give it a chance, this movie will keep you hooked and never let go. Very few dramas can keep me absorbed through their entirety, especially when it's a movie from the Lifetime channel, they always seem to have a similar plot. But Invisible Child is an original film, and a very risky one too. Very well acted from the entire cast including the kids. There are many weird moments in this movie that may cause someone to laugh, but I guess that's what the audience is suppose to feel. We're supposed to be in utter disbelief in some scenes. I recommend this, but not to everyone. 8/10
