Supposed to be a rom-com, but not a lot of laugh out loud moments. Really more of an exploration of the damaging effects of the male lead's self loathing, anger management issues, and alcoholism on his marriage. Thompson is very good at being unlikaeable, which make some of the scenes very difficult to watch. The tension during the couple's fight scenes is almost unbearable and it's clear that's what the director is aiming for. Nice cinematography, beautiful scenery, and great soundtrack. Coupe is also very good.
