Movie Info

Comedian Jackie Mason rose from the "Borscht Belt" circuit to become one of America's best-known entertainers, but not without a few bumps along the way, including being blackballed by Ed Sullivan (who believed, incorrectly, that Mason had made an obscene gesture during an appearance on his show) and earning the enmity of several racial and ethnic spokesmen due to Mason's proudly politically incorrect humor. Jackie Mason: An Equal Opportunity Offender is a documentary on Mason's life and career which features interviews with Mason, his friends, and his colleagues, as well as a wealth of film clips from his various television appearances and one-man Broadway shows.
