Friday co-stars Ice Cube and Mike Epps reunite to portray two shady concert promoters who attempt to make a mint and stage the show of a lifetime. Against all odds, the fast-talking hustlers manage to talk a legitimate hip-hop superstar (Young Jeezy) into putting on a big show. But they've only got 24 hours to sell out a massive concert hall. As the two unscrupulous promoters scramble to make the show a success, a whole host of embittered rivals scheme to ensure that they fail in spectacular fashion.

It's a tailor-made role for Cube -- not surprising, considering he wrote the script -- and he plays it with his familiar mix of brash-talking bluster and brow-knitting frustration.

Everything builds to a fairly careless climax.

Humorless feature film that aspires toward a comedic pitch that should've never been placed in the hands of Ice Cube. Mike Epps, sure. But Cube is best bewildered, not fitted for clown shoes.

Ice Cube and Mike Epps' much-delayed fourth screen teaming has to be a landmark of some sorts in how a company's complete lack of concern for its own product could not be more brazenly apparent.

Audience Reviews for Janky Promoters

This movie was pretty funny. I wish it had a good soundtrack, but Ice Cube and Mike Epps worked well together. It had its moments, but was a little rough around the edges. I thought it was worth watching, but most probably won't.

I think that Ice Cube really began writing a descent movie, but then just gave up about halfway through. He just declared - "to hell with it" and rushed an ending. The result was this movie I just saw. There were so many loose ends that were left hanging. What about Ice Cube's wedding? Who's gonna pay Jeezy? Didn't they just loose a truckload of money? Isn't the drug dealer still gonna kill him? What the hell? Don't waste your time people.

The movie was actually pretty good. It had its dumb parts in it but Mike Epps really made this movie what it is. He provided the laughs. Cube...well lets not even go there. Overall alright comedy with a few good laughs.
