The formidable Emma Thompson costars as a harpy prime minister, and Olga Kurylenko plays the unlikely love interest; mediocre white men somehow manage to hoodwink them both.

Can't Rowan Atkinson's bumbling parody of James Bond just leave well enough alone?
October 26, 2018
It's pleasantly ho-hum and is content to be so, and while that will work for some viewers for me that's just not a trait I can get excited about.

Let's hope that this is the last strike for Johnny English.

Every gag in this movie has already been done before, and better, presumably by one or both of the earlier Johnny English films.
October 26, 2018
Alack and alas, Johnny English Strikes Again is an inoffensive collection of zanily mediocre pratfalls and shenanigans, with Atkinson continuing his presumably by now patented schtick and very little else.

There's nothing really new or fresh or bold in Johnny English Strikes Again, the third installment of Rowan Atkinson's bumbling-spy saga/James Bond spoof.

Strings together gag after gag after gag at such a relentless clip that it's hard to do anything but double over laughing.

"Johnny English Strikes Again" has a few more laughs and far fewer cringes (and stereotypes) than the two films that preceded it.
October 24, 2018
Johnny English Strikes Again might actually come closer to success than its predecessors, if only by default.
October 24, 2018
With this latest installment in what has turned out to be a surprisingly consistent series, Johnny English's old-fashioned pratfalls make for an irreverent raspberry in the face of evil.
October 24, 2018
There's enough funny stuff here to make a hilarious very short film...
October 18, 2018
Relying on such arcane gags as prat falls in knight's armor, fake French accents, and an array of gadget-based explosions, Johnny English Strikes Again seems almost hellbent on aiming for the lowest common denominator at every turn.
October 11, 2018
Perhaps a case could be made that something about this series is lost in translation, but it's all delivered in plain English. Johnny English.

I couldn't stifle my guffaws.

Individual set pieces work but as a whole, it doesn't work.
