Just watched the American Masters documentary of Joni Mitchell: "Woman of Heart and Mind." I feel this movie really captures the sprit of Joni. It's filled with stunning performances and artwork by her, and and the part where she gets reunited with her daughter (who she gave up for adoption when she herself was just a teen) made me cry. It includes commentary by Graham Nash, James Taylor, Stephen Holden, New York Times music critic, David Geffen, Elliot Roberts ( her former manager), Eric Andersen, Tom Rush, Herbie Hancock and others.

Some say great movies have great actors. This movie has a great main character Joni Mitchell - a story of a different female artists life following her own path

It's sort of a standard documentary profile, but the subject is certainly fascinating.
