Movie Info

In this inspiring drama, Gordon Trout (Martin Landau) is a elderly man who was once a successful businessman but has become despondent since his wife left him. As Gordon gives serious thought to killing himself, he decides to buy a gun, but while at a shopping mall, he offers to give a ride to three teenagers, Cam (Shawn Hatosy), Jodi (Elizabeth Moss), and Crystal (Heather McComb). It turns out the three kids are homeless delinquents and they soon turn a weapon on Gordon and take him hostage. Before long, the foursome find they have more in common than they imagined, and they come to regard each other as family. But a robbery committed by the kids in a moment of anger could have consequences that will put an end to their friendship. The Joyriders was produced by a Christian-themed entertainment concern and features a number of popular contemporary Christian acts on its soundtrack, including DC Talk, Audio Adrenaline, and the Newsboys.

Audience Reviews for The Joyriders

Three kids and an old man end up on a very unlikely road trip. The only thing that they have in common is that they all have messed up lives and that somehow is the only thing that seems to keep them together. A good movie, but not great.
