Movie Info

You've been haunted by the vengeful Sadako in the Ring movies and felt the wrath of The Grudge wraiths as they stalked their unfortunate victims from the shadows, now face an entirely new terror when an urban legend comes to terrifying life in this chiller from director Koji Shiraishi. Over the years, whispered rumors of a black-hooded killer have filled the hallways of a quiet high school and had the students in a constant state of nervous fear. When the young girls of the school begin to die at an alarming rate after seeing a mysterious cloaked figure, it appears as if the rumors have finally come to life. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Audience Reviews for Ju-Rei: The Uncanny

Similar in many respects to Ju-On and its countless sequels, American remakes, etc., Ju-Rei unfolds in a reverse chronologically order that takes us back in time from one horror to the previous one. Unfortunately, its short running time and its frequent story changes cause it to always stop short just as the real moments of creepiness and horror begin unfolding.
