An enduring, singular masterpiece of cinema starring Academy Award®-winner Vanessa Redgrave and Oliver Reed, KEN RUSSELL'S THE DEVILS is a prescient epic of obsession and corruption -- and a defining work of art from seminal filmmaker Ken Russell. Assembled from the original camera negative, this new 4K restoration presents Ken Russell's definitive vision of THE DEVILS by referencing the edit he privately constructed in 2004. KEN RUSSELL'S THE DEVILS is the uncut and unfiltered theatrical experience that Russell always envisioned -- and the first time the film will be presented restored and in 4K.

Redgrave and Reed both masterfully walk the tightrope of characters who run hot and cold in equal measure, holding dominion over every scene they’re in, even though they almost never directly interact. Go to Full Review

Just as Grandier’s ultimate sacrifice is only made meaningful by his history of repeated, lascivious indulgence in the fleshier sins, so can “The Devils” be an unapologetically maximalist exhibition of carnal depravity that is also quite profoundly moral. Go to Full Review

A frenzied genre hybrid of 17th-century period drama, darkly hilarious satire, and shocking, sobering psychological horror, this is one of those rare movies that you can truly say is unlike anything else you've ever seen. Go to Full Review

The Devils is 55 years old and not only does it hold up magnificently, it’s hard to think of a filmmaker today who is as stylistically distinct and in-your-face as Ken Russell, a cinema great who gave new meaning to the concept of the enfant terrible. Go to Full Review

See more Eddie 1 day ago Worst movie of all time See more Jason 1 day ago I was expecting weird yet creative, but the film's identity from artistic flair to historical accuracy made the film lag. When the shock factor stuff towards the third part of the movie came, most of the audience in my theater were already tapped out. See more Alexis 1 day ago Don’t waste your time. See more Abe 2 days ago It was definitely a weird movie, hard to understand what was going on at some points, but was so cool to be able to see it after all these years it was locked away!! See more post 3 days ago Being able to see the restored and uncut version of this film was amazing! The restored 4K print was immaculate and mind blowing to think the film 55 years old.
