Helping Key are her mysterious powers and her friends who believe that she is just a delusional girl who thinks she is a robot because she grew up in a house full of robots. "Key" as they call her, is an emotionless robot girl, whose organic father was recently murdered. His dying wish is for Key to become human, but to do that she must make 30,000 friends. Key and her friends set out to fulfill her dream, while mysterious events and people, a heavy-metal rock star, a religious cult leader, and the head of a war robotics company, start to connect to a nearly forgotten past. There is more than meets the eye to Key as strange phenomena unfold as does her future.
