Audience Reviews for Killjoy 3

A far better film than both previous entries, but still not that good, Killjoy 3 introduces new Hellraiser-like characters and a more complex plot. But the acting still sucks and it's all still pretty ridiculous.

This one was very, very good. This time around Killjoy terrorizes four college students while they're hold up in their professor's house. The professor is really using the college students as bait when a mystery mirror is left on their doorstep. The mirror turns out to be a portal into the nightmare world of Killjoy. This time around he has some equally twisted clown friends to share in the macabre. High production values in this sequel and a few clever moments actually help this sequel to a sort of scary killer clown become tolerable. Also I found it to be fun as a midnight triple feature.

As the third film, it finally takes Killjoy to a new direction that seems to work. The cheap little gags and dark humor really adds onto the enjoyment, and Killjoy's posse only adds to the fun. The human scenes, however, are slow and dull, and many segments feel dumb. The ending is lacking. Otherwise, it's a fun sequel, though not fully a terrific film.
