Despite his awesome brawling ability, Li has yet to demonstrate a persona that will make him worth watching in between fights.

Kiss of the Dragon offers just about a kill a minute, but less than a thrill a minute.

Overproduced action movies aimed at the lowest common denominator simply cannot get any more trite or insultingly hackneyed than Kiss of the Dragon.

...has no other claims to fame than its filling up ninety-eight minutes of screen time with plenty of Jet Li and a pile of kicking, punching, and shooting.

The only thing this film seems to be advertising is mindless idiocy.

And in the end, you still wish there were a story somewhere worthy of Li's dynamism and elegance.

Not horrible and certainly entertaining enough for what it's trying to be and enjoyable to some degree for those looking for this sort of action, this film is the equivalent of having a powerful engine hidden within some old and boring jalopy.

Poor Jet Li . . . he doesn't have the comedic timing of Jackie Chan, the looks or charm of Chow Yun Fat, and he certainly isn't the second coming of Bruce Lee.

Flounders in desperately overwrought dialogue and one of the most incomprehensible plots since 2000's 'Battlefield Earth.'

While Kiss of the Dragon remains a relatively fun little brain-dead punch-em-out worth a rental, it's forgettable at best.

... pure action entertainment. It's not aiming for posterity or gold statues, and as such, it delivers on its modest promises.
