Audience Reviews for Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special

151215: Heart-warming story but lacks the awesomeness of Legend's laugh out loud humour. Still; worthy of your valuable, Christmas season time.

Evil doesn't take a holiday and neither do I! Po has been selected to have Christmas with the emperor and as a royal honor, he is to select the chef for the events. Po initially is excited about this opportunity, but then discovers it requires him to have the holiday away from his family. Can Po share this opportunity with his father or will he have to disappoint someone? "Your rain of tears are over! I have the onions, dad!" Tim Johnson, director of Antz, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Over the Hedge, and the upcoming Home, delivers Kung Fu Panda: Holiday. The storyline for this picture is just okay and has several cliché holiday elements without having a real villain (other than the overall situation). The animation style remains excellent and all the voices returned to contribute (which is a positive for a Christmas special). "What's going on in your head, I never really understand." My daughter and I have watched this several times off Netflix. I am always disappointed that this is only 20 minutes long as it definitely feels like it could have given the audience more. Overall, this movie is just okay and I wouldn't add it to my DVD collection. "This is your duty above all duties." Grade: C+

This really does not have any of the appeal that the movies had. This is kind of like the Secrets of the Furious Five where it went a completely different direction. The holiday special isn't really funny nor is the story behind it anything spectacular. This was just something thrown together.
